Kailash Yatra 2018 - Booking Terms and Cancelation Policy
While making bookings with us you agree having carefully read, understood, accepted and agreed to all booking terms and other information placed on the website, in the booking form and others shared with you during the course of your communication with our team.
Booking and Advance Payments
To reserve a seat in our Kailash Manasarovar Yatra fixed departure tours, one must complete the Booking Form and Agreement and send it to our head office in Delhi along with the advance payment of 25,000 per person for India passport holder and USD 500 for NRIs and foreign nationals.
Full payment for the yatra bookings must be received by us atleast 45 days prior to the date of commencement of the Yatra with us. No booking will be considered as 'confirmed' unless full payment is received by us before the mentioned deadline. In the absence of timely payments and complete documentations from the pilgrim, we retain absolute right to refuse to take the pilgrim onboard with our group by canceling his/her/their participation.

It is important to note that all bank fee and other charges levied by the intermediary bank/s for sending payments to us or refunding money to your account via Cash/NEFT/RTGS/SWIFT etc are to be borne by the remitter only. All credit card payments and refunds will attract 3% online bank charges which are also to be borne by the credit card holder and not the Company. Invoice and Taxes
A Tax invoice is issued by us for all bookings and sent to the customer. If you do not receive the copy of Invoice from our office, please ask our team to provide you with the same. Please note Goods and Services Tax (GST) on each payment which may differ based on the nature of service rendered by the traveler.
It is not only the liability of the Company to charge Goods and Services Tax (GST) to the customer but it is also the responsibility of the customer to pay the same without fail. All our quotes and offers are ‘exclusive’ of GST and shall be charged addition to the travel booking charges.
It is to be noted carefully that all Kailash Yatra groups are operating on fixed departure basis therefore no amendment for individual is possible for the yatra. For any amendment required, you must notify Max Holidays Pvt. Ltd. in writing well in advance. Possible amendments shall be made by the Company and any additional expense incurred due to this amendment shall be payable by the traveler upon receiving confirmation from our office.
Kailash Yatra operates in the shape of groups only on fixed dates and fixed routes hence no amendment for any individual is permitted for Tibet portion. However for Kathmandu potion we welcome your requirements for upgradation of stay, transport etc All additional expenses incurred for any upgradation or amendments shall be charges extra and payable in advance by the traveler only.
Cancelation by the traveler : After booking your trip, if you wish to cancel your yatra you must notify our Delhi head office in writing (no telephonic cancelations will be entertained) well in advance. Your advance payments made for Kailash yatra bookings include a non-refundable amount of 10,000/- per person (for Indian Nationals) / USD 250 per person (For NRI and Foreign Nationals). Other cancelations are subject to the following fee and charges :
• Less than 60 days prior to travel date – 25% of the yatra cost.
• Less than 30 days – No refund applicable
Cancelation of bookings made under special deals and offers : The bookings made under early bird offers, last minute offers, loyalty discount scheme etc are absolutely non-refundable incase of cancelation due to whatsoever reasons.
Cancellation of the trip by Company : In the event when the pilgrim has fulfilled the requirements of all necessary valid documents, health check-ups and payments etc but Yatra has been cancelled by the Company due to failure on the part of the Company to obtain necessary permissions for the yatra (except in force majour conditions) full amount shall be refunded to the pilgrims upon receiving the same from the third parties in India, Nepal or Tibet. However a non-refundable processing fee of 10,000 per person (for Indian Nationals) or USD 250 per person (for NRIs and foreign nationals) shall be debited being non-refundable charges as mentioned above.
Force majour : While making arrangement for your yatra, our experts take utmost care to provide you with best available information and best possible services to ensure a successful and safe journey for you. However we do not take any responsibility for cancelation or amendment or delay of the yatra (or any part/s of the journey) due to reasons beyond our control including weather conditions, natural hazard, industrial disputes, technical failures, road conditions, flight delay/cancelations, political reasons, sudden notifications/announcement from concerned Govt. bodies or authorities, riots, strikes, medical reasons etc. No refund is applicable in such cases and also in such cases during or before the commencement of the yatra, if any additional expense occurs the same shall be paid by the traveller/s only. It is to be noticed by the travelers that the trips to Mt. Kailash are organised in a very remote area where very basic amenities are available for stay and fooding etc and the level of uncertainty of Kailash trip is high due to its climatic conditions, diplomatic/political reasons etc. Our partners and expert team ensures for success and fulfillment of the trip but the same is always under the discretion of the local authorities and Chinese Govt.
While you contact us for your yatra bookings, you confirm having carefully read, understood and accepted the above mentioned cancellation policy of the Company.
Any applicable refund shall be processed by Max Holidays Pvt. Ltd. within 30 days after the completion of the yatra of the specific group after receiving the same from various parties and authorities in India/Nepal/Tibet etc. All refunds shall be made after deducting applicable bank fee/service charges, company service charges and other charges as may apply and/or have occurred.
Please note that there shall be no refund applicable for any unutilized service or tour package. The customers accept not to have any right to claim such refunds against unutilized service/s.
Price of the Trip
The price for the Yatra are inclusive of accommodation, food, transport, guides, fuel charges, permit, visa etc. and we take utmost care for not increasing the price for Yatra during the year. But in the cases of hike in fuel price, govt taxes/fee, visa/permit charges, currency exchange rate fluctuation, air fare increase, ground operator service fee increase and others which are beyond our control, Max Holidays retains the right to increase the price of the trip or a part of the trip without any further notice at any time ‘before or during’ the Yatra. Additional payments caused due to such changes/hike must be made by the clients without delay and without fail. Upon your refusal to pay such additional amounts Max Holidays shall retains the right to cancel your trip immediately and all advance payments will be forfeited.
It is the sole responsibility of the traveler to ensure that he/she is carrying a valid passport, visa, necessary permits, air tickets, travel insurance, medical certificate and other personal travelling documents.
Nepal travel visa - All foreign nationals accept Indians require a valid passport to travel to Nepal. Visa is available on arrival at Kathmandu airport against applicable visa fee and documents. Indian Nationals travelling to Nepal must carry a valid photo identity card (Passport or Voter ID Card).
Tibet/China Travel – A valid visa and permit is necessary for all nationalities for travelling to Tibet, China. Special permits and group visa is mandatory to visit Kailash region. Indian passport holders must present their passport at China Embassy in Delhi before undertaking the yatra. Visa for foreigners and NRIs can be obtained from China Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal. Please carry 2 passport size coloured photograph for visa application. This procedure may change without prior notice depending on the instructions from concerned authorities and team and must be followed by the traveler without fail.
While booking the yatra with us you declare that you are in good health with good mental and physical condition since you are aware of the fact that Mt. Kailash Yatra is a challenging trek and operates in a very high altitude with tough weather conditions and very limited availability of accommodation, eatables and services. You confirm that you have informed to Max Holidays Pvt. Ltd. in writing, about your medical issue/problem which you are aware of. You confirm that the Company and/or its partners, staff, associates etc are shall not be kept responsible for any issue pertaining to your health or/and loss of health/life and any additional expenses incurred due to such cases.
Personal travel and medical insurance is not included in our yatra price and it is the responsibility of the participant to carry a valid travel and medical insurance for Kailash Yatra. Make sure that you are fully insured for the entire duration of the yatra in respect of sickness, illness, accident, injury, death, emergency evacuation, loss of personal belongings, and cancelation / modification of the trip.
Airline and Helicopter
Incases of our prices including the airline ticket charges, we retain the right to change the yatra packaged price anytime before the commencement of the trip incase of any increase in air ticket price by the airline or issuance of another flight tickets due to cancelation of the flights by airline. Any cancelation / change in the flight schedule is not the responsibility of Max Holidays and yatra cancelled due to such reasons shall not be considered as yatra cancelled by the Company. During Kailash heli trip and Muktinath trip our price includes return flight tickets and chopper charges for Kathmandu –Nepalganj-Simikot-Hilsa and Pokhara-Jomsom-Pokhara sector but any additional expense incurred due to delay or cancelation in flight/helicopter service the same shall be borne by the travelers only.
Special Schemes, Discounts & Offers
None of the two (or more) schemes/ offers / deals (including early bird offer, last minute discount etc) can be clubbed with each other or any other offer. All such schemes and offers introduced by us are only promotional offers and the terms of the scheme/s can be changed anytime thereafter without assigning any notice. We also retain the right to withdraw or modify the offers/scheme anytime without assigning any notice. It is totally at our discretion to confirm or reject any booking under such schemes. To bring more travellers we keep floating attractive schemes and offers which may be seen on our website or in our promotional advertisements. While making the query with us, you clearly need to mention the details of our special offer under which you wish to book the trip. Services and bookings for all schemes and offers are subject to availability only. Trips once booked cannot be shifted to any other offer/scheme introduced by us at a later stage. Such deals and offers are a part of our marketing strategy and we retain the right to decide upon the price of the yatra. No claim whatsoever will be entertained in this regard. All bookings, cancelations and refunds will be only as per the booking agreement signed between the Company and travellers.
Right of the Company
We retains the right to :
• Change the departure date or conclusion of the of the trip or
• Change any aspect of the trip or
• Cancel or modify any routes within the trip or objectives set out in the itinerary, or
• Offer substitute or equivalent route or date for the yatra in place of cancelled/modified route or
• Postpone/delay/cancel any aspect of the tour due to adverse or threatening conditions such as weather conditions, snow or icy conditions, political reasons, military directions, terrorist acts, riots, strikes or any other conditions which may be dangerous or hazardous or any other condition which may impact the safety of the participants. The traveler acknowledges having no right to claim any refund in the event of changes/modifications/cancelation/postponement or delay of the Yatra, whether in whole or in part and also no right to claim any compensation for any injury or loss or damage to the person or its belongings or any other additional expenses incurred due to such reasons.
• Max Holidays Pvt. Ltd. and its offices, associates, staff etc retains the absolute right to change/cancel/stop trip due to any governmental travel warnings/advise or non issuance of permissions of the yatra. No refundsshall be applicable in such cases.
• Max Holidays retains the right to cancel the trip of any individual or group incase the traveler does not comply with all the required formalities required by any Nepalese or Chinese authority during the Yatra.
• Any participant not complying with the formalities or not obeying the law of the land or carrying unlawful drugs, political propaganda, firearms or pamphlets will immediately be excluded from the tour and required action from the concerned authorities may be
Third party disputes
Max Holidays while organizing your trips act as a travel consultant and organizer of the trip. We do not own airlines, hotels, vehicles, guides, escorts etc thus will not be responsible for any dispute between the client and these (or any other) party/parties or their management or office or staff etc. However, we shall offer our interference and cooperation to resolve such issues in peace but will not be liable for any kind of loss or damage to anyone’s belongings, health, life etc. We take no responsibility of actions and behavior of the third party.
Risk assumptions and waiver of liability :
While booking the Yatra you acknowledge having understood and accept to assume all possible risks associated with the trip. You confirm that Max Holidays Pvt. Ltd. has made you aware of the same through its websites/brochures/publications and during the course of written / telephonic conversation. You confirm that in the event of illness, accident, weather conditions, political issues, technical failures, flight delays/cancelations and other reasons beyond our control, you will not hold Max Holidays and its agents or offices or staff or associates liable for any loss or damage. In the consideration of Max Holidays accepting your booking and including you in its tour you confirm and release Max Holidays, its staff, offices, associates, partners, agents, guides, other authorities and other all representatives/persons engaged in organization of the trip from all liability, cost, injury, damage incurred or suffered by you directly or indirectly during the course of the trip and resulting to personal injury, loss, illness, death or damage to a person or its properties/belongings. You accept to be aware and liable for any danger and risks associated with the trip and confirm not to make any claim or demand any compensation against Max Holidays Pvt Ltd. and its owners, associates, employees, guides, agents, partners etc. You understand and accept that you are travelling at your own risk.
Important : The above terms are designed based on the nature of the trip operated by us in extreme tough conditions and circumstances and our past experiences. You should not proceed with bookings if you do not agree to the above terms or any part or clause of the above terms.
